About Sebastian Piacentini
Sebastian Piacentini is a street and portrait hunter. Originally from Buenos Aires - Argentina, based in New York. His background as Creative Director / Art Director in advertising pulled him into photography as a passion for the authenticity of film Photography.
"These days there is so much technology involved in photography that it has become almost a distorted version of reality. There are many digital tools that can fake an image, like color retouching, light effects, ambient alterations, filters, and many other things in a single photo. My projects attempt to bring back the authenticity of photography based on the principles of chemistry, light, and mechanics to catch the light with the purpose of creating a real take out of what is perceived".
All prints have been taken in a Hasselblad 500/CM camera and developed in the traditional way.
